Are you a Twilight fan, Vampire Diaries fan, or
both? I am a fan of both!
It’s funny because I can remember Twilight
being everywhere, but I had no idea what it was. I saw everyone reading the
books and I always wondered what the book covers were all about. My husband and
I also went to the movies coincidentally when the New Moon was released and I
wondered what all the fuss was about. I had no idea why all those women were
standing around waiting for a movie to start! Ha! My husband actually rented
Twilight for me thinking it was something I’d like (why to this day, I have no
clue…I have never been about anything Sci-Fi/Vampire/etc.) and I returned the
movie unwatched. He rented it for me again and I finally gave in and put it in
while I did laundry one day. I LOVED it, and when I realized there were books
and there was more after Twilight – I was HOOKED. I could write you and entire
book on my hunt for “Breaking Dawn” which was absolutely hysterical…but we’ll
save that for another time. I stumbled on to The Vampire Diaries the same way.
My sister was trying to tell me there was this really great show that I would
probably like since I enjoyed Twilight. My answer was that I probably wouldn’t
like it because I wasn’t into the whole ‘vampire’ thing before, and it was just
Twilight that I enjoyed. Ha! I came home from the last Getaway sick and decided
I would spend the weekend snugged down watching movies. I started with TVD and
drove Brandi Nienhuser crazy texting her with a million questions each episode!
The funny part was I went to my sister telling her there was this AMAZING show
on that she had to watch and I’m pretty sure she smacked her head as I told her
it was TVD!

What is your role at these events? I am not only
the President, but I’m also a client (isn’t that how that goes?). Okay, not
really…there isn’t a President, but I guess I am the head honcho. I’m the one
who says…hey, let’s get the girls together and do this. I was easy to find last
year because I was the one sweating and running around. This year, not so much.
I will be hard to find because I will be as cute as all of you are thanks to all of the volunteers helping out! It will be
like Where’s Waldo?...you won’t be able to pick my face out of the crowd! I
love putting these together because planning events is in my DNA. I enjoy it…I
enjoy seeing all of those happy, excited, smiling faces enjoying the event that
took months to plan, prepare for, and execute. I used to work for a video dating
service (yes, I’m serious and no, I did not meet my husband from there) and my
job was event planning among other things. I love that I can continue that in a
way that I enjoy.

What is your favorite moment from the last
Twilight Girls Getaway? Ohmygoodness…I have no idea. I loved getting to know
Booboo and his Dad, I loved getting to meet all of you who attended after
talking to you for months, I loved calling Andrea and Jennifer hourly while
they drove all Wednesday night to get there (I did not sleep at all that night
and we kept each other company!), I loved that Bronson surprised all of the
women in their PJs at the cabin, I loved rooming with Brandi and whispering to
each other as we fell asleep – which I think took all of 30 seconds each night, and having Josh and Britt room next door to us.
I made so many incredible memories and met so many amazing women…it was great!

If you could have any actor/actress from either
series attend an event, who would it be and why? I wrote this question and you
think I would know better. I don’t have just one. Here is my list…Twilight: Peter
Facinelli (Carlisle), Robert Pattinson (Edward), Charlie Bewley (Demetri). TVD:
Matthew Davis (Alaric), Joseph Morgan (Klaus), and Ian Somerhalder (Damon). Off
of this list, I have only met Charlie Bewley before…and he is HILARIOUS! The
others I have ALWAYS wanted to meet! You can bet if we sell out of tickets, I
will get most of these people there!!!

What are you most looking forward to doing
during Mystic Falls at Twilight Girls Getaway? I am looking forward to seeing
old friends, making new ones (let’s just say we’ll all be hugged out before it
is all said and done), Thursday night shenanigans (yay for early arrivals!), finally
meeting Team Canada after talking with them for YEARS, getting everything set
up in the Event Center, and checking everyone into the event, oh yes, and let’s
not forget sledding in the snow - I am totally not kidding on
this – it is happening!
